Bowdle Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Bowdle Healthcare provides emergency medical services utilizing two ambulances serviced by emergency medical technicians (EMTs), first responders (FR), and drivers who have completed the emergency vehicle operator course (EVOC). The purpose of the EMS provider is to obtain an initial patient assessment and safely transport patients requiring emergency care while stabilizing their condition en route to the hospital. The EMS providers have been certified in their respective profession through the national emergency registry and complete continuing education on a monthly basis. The Bowdle ambulance service covers a wide geographic location covering calls from areas including Bowdle, Hosmer, Roscoe, Tolstoy, and Java. The ambulance is also utilized for patient transfers from Bowdle hospital to higher level of care hospitals in Aberdeen. The Bowdle ambulance is a critical component of providing high quality healthcare. Emergencies can happen at any time, and quick response by healthcare providers can make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
