REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements.
  2. Perform and lead teams in light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry aide duties across varying shifts.
  3. Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; ensure timely completion of projects and programs.
  4. Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment while using HCSG computer software.
  5. Act as liaison between building occupants/administrators and HCSG staff; communicate directives effectively.
  6. Use protective gear appropriately; ensure safe use of cleaning solutions and adherence to safety precautions.
  7. Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
  8. Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
  9. All other duties as assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
  2. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  3. Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
  4. Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.

  5. Documents accurately and correctly; understands the importance of correct documentation.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide care for patients at the scene of an incident and while taking patients by ambulance to a hospital. An EMT has the skills to assess a patient’s condition and to manage respiratory, cardiac, and trauma emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED. Must have completed the state approved EMT program and completed the certification exam in order to obtain licensure in the state of South Dakota. Must acquire CPR certification

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Must have understanding of and experience in emergency medical services and all competencies required of EMT.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide basic life support to patient before and while they are being transported to hospital.

2. Determine appropriate care to be provided after evaluating patient’s condition.

3. Provide medical aid such as AED, CPR, spinal precautions, ventilation, control severe bleeding, prevent shock, bandaging wounds, etc., to stabilize patient’s condition.

  1. Assume full responsibility for management of the nursing unit, working jointly with Director of Nursing to plan nursing care policies, procedures, and standards of patient care- making appropriate recommendations for improvement of health care in the facility.
  2. Assist Director of Nursing with performance evaluation for nursing staff, especially new staff prior to completion of probationary period. Provides documentation for Director of Nursing regarding needed counseling or disciplinary action making effective recommendations.
  3. Provides leadership and direction of nursing service personnel for professional orientation, growth, and development. Inspires team work on all shifts.
  4. Assume responsibility for coordinating each patient’s medical and nursing regime; discussing patient’s condition and sharing pertinent information with others involved in patient’s care.
  5. Demonstrates ability to perform basic nursing process (observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning of patient care, implementation of care plans, and evaluation of same).

POSITION SUMMARY:

Organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs with Bowdle Healthcare Center and its outreach services to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps the patient develop or restore function and achieve maximum level of independence while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited school of physical therapy.

License/Certification: Current South Dakota Physical Therapist license.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Evaluates patient needs and develops realistic and appropriate short and long-term goals; discusses evaluation results and goals with patients, family, primary medical provider and other concerned persons as appropriate.
  2. Demonstrates ability to assess a clinical situation from various perspectives, considers alternatives and choose an appropriate course of action.
  3. Demonstrates creativity, skill and efficiency in planning, designing and implementing treatment programs, including home programs, for patients with all types of disabilities and multiple medical problems.
