Wayne was born and raised in Webster, SD. After graduating high school, he joined the SD Army National Guard. Wayne first started his education at Lake Area in Watertown SD as a nurse.
He then attended Presentation College in Aberdeen. He worked at the Aberdeen Fire Dept/Ambulance for a total of 4 years. During his career, he has worked at Avera St. Luke’s as well as ER/CareFlight for 5 years. He graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at UND in Grand Forks in 2002. After graduating, he worked for North Central Heart for 2 years, Faulkton Hospital for 4 years, and Orthopedic Surgery Specialists for 7 years. He specializes in emergency medicine, cardiac care, orthopedics, and family practice. Wayne chose BHC because he enjoys rural medicine, getting to know his patients, as well as following them in the clinic, hospital, and nursing home setting.
Outside of work, Wayne enjoys spending time with his wife, Lanette and their family. His favorite pastimes include riding his Harley Davidson and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.
