Volunteers are a vital part of Bowdle Healthcare Center. This is the way you have chosen to serve by volunteering. The volunteer is one with a heart so sincere. They make a difference in lives of a resident or patient. A volunteer takes time out of their busy schedule to share their many talents. No task too large, no task to small. There are no words to describe the generosity of heart and soul that comes from people who volunteer on a regular basis. The world is a better place to live, when a volunteer is so willing to give. You may not always know when someone is especially blessed by a kindness a volunteer has done. To give one’s time and talent for a good cause is a special feeling indeed. Volunteers give so much of themselves and they expect so little in return. The compassion a volunteer shows to the people we serve is an inspire to us all. Volunteer giving time touching hearts your time makes a difference and we value all you do. We deeply appreciate all our volunteers, who assist residents with the many activities. These activities are as follows: bingo, cards, crafts, fixing a puzzle, board games-mainly checkers, fix hair and polish nails, serve an afternoon snack, write letters, computer games, take residents for walks or wheelchair rides indoor or outdoors, read devotions , mail and newspapers etc.., 1-1 visits or working in the flower and vegetable garden. The list goes on and on. As you freely share your hours and days may you also be blessed in many ways. Help one another. There is no time like the present, and no present like the time. Please feel free to call Pam Grismer at (605)285-8316 if you would be interested in volunteering at our facility. “Volunteers don’t get paid in money, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.”
“Many people may not appreciate their ability to communicate until it’s lost”
